Fees

Fees at the centre are set by the Management Committee and are subject to change, depending on the budget, with two weeks’ notice. As a rule, we budget once a year and agree on fees for the coming 12-month period (July-June). Our aim is to keep fees to a minimum while maintaining a high quality service.

Your weekly fee will be calculated according to your days of enrolment. Fees are generally charged at a daily rate although sessional (half-day) fees may be available for occasional care bookings.

Current fees are:

  • Daily fee – $119.00
  • Weekly fee – $595.00
  • Half-day fee – $80.00

Fees may be paid by cash or cheque to the Centre Co-ordinator or by direct deposit to our bank account. Credit card facilities are not available. Fees should be paid fortnightly or 4-weekly, in advance, unless agreed otherwise with the Centre Co-ordinator.

No fees are charged for the closure period over Christmas/New Year (usually two weeks). Full fees are payable at all other times, including absence for sickness, public holidays or any other reason except when a holding fee has been arranged.

Holding Fee

When at least two weeks’ notice has been given for a child’s intended absence from the Centre (e.g., holidays), a holding fee (50% of your normal fee) may be charged. Holding fees are available for absences of whole weeks (not single days) for up to 4 weeks in any calendar year.

Commonwealth Government Fee Subsidies

Child Care Benefit (CCB) is a Commonwealth Government, means-tested fee subsidy payable to eligible families. To find out more about Child Care Benefit payments and eligibility, click here or call the Family Assistance Office on 13 61 50.

Child Care Rebate (CCR) is a non means-tested payment which rebates 50% of out-of-pocket expenses to eligible families, up to the annual cap of $7,500. Child Care Rebate is also delivered through the Family Assistance Office.

City of Port Phillip Affordability Subsidy

The City of Port Phillip provides a further fee subsidy to families who are eligible for CCB at a rate of 25% or more. This additional subsidy is calculated to be one third of a family’s CCB subsidy, is deducted from the full fee (before CCB and CCR deductions) and is paid directly by the City of Port Phillip to the Centre.
